Ignite Aotearoa Limited is an innovative social enterprise operating at the intersection of technology, healthcare and wellbeing.  A technology start-up backed by the Ka Puta Ka Ora Emerge Aotearoa group, Ignite delivers innovative digital mental health and wellbeing services for workplaces, tertiary education institutions, and in other health contexts across Aotearoa.

Having successfully established a sustainable business model, we are now poised to harness our IP for continued growth and expansion into adjacent sectors and markets.

Our long-term vision is to transform how mental health and wellbeing services are accessed and delivered through innovative technology solutions, while maintaining our commitment to social impact and purpose-driven outcomes.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

We are seeking two Directors to join our Board, with one appointee to take up the Chair role.

Key responsibilities will include providing strategic advice and direction for our future growth and ensuring strong governance and commercial oversight.

The time commitment may average three to five hours per month.  These are remunerated positions.

Ko wai koe | About you

We are seeking diverse skills and experiences across the two roles.  Preferred attributes include:

  • Business Growth & Scaling expertise: Demonstrated experience in guiding organisations through critical growth phases and navigating the complexities of scaling a business.
  • Leadership capabilities: Leadership and strategic thinking attributes, with one appointee to transition quickly into the Chair role.
  • Connection to our Services: Experience with promoting or using mental health and wellbeing offerings as a provider or client organisation.
  • Sector Knowledge: While not essential, knowledge of the mental health, wellbeing, or technology sectors would be advantageous.

We would welcome visionary leaders who can drive our social enterprise to scale and help transform mental health and wellbeing services in Aotearoa, whilst ensuring a deep commitment to social impact and purpose-driven outcomes.
