The Cornwall Park Trust Board was established in 1901 by Sir John Logan Campbell to develop Cornwall Park for the benefit of all New Zealanders. Cornwall Park is a much loved, and well used part of Auckland, with a rich history and bright future. Revenue from property interests and investments essential to maintaining the park’s operations and realising Sir John’s legacy. As a board, every decision we make is carefully measured against its benefit to the park and its alignment with the founder’s vision.
We are now seeking to appoint two new board members. One will be a trustee in line with our trust deed, appointed on an open term, the other will be an associate for a three-year term. There are six formal meetings per year and other adhoc purpose specific meetings. Our estimated workload is up to two days a month.
We are seeking individuals with:
- Credible governance experience and superb commercial acumen.
- Expertise in property, farming, environmental, or public facility management
- Experience working with complex legal issues.
- Well-established networks in Auckland’s business and community sectors
- The ability to be an agile and robust contributor to board discussion, combined with a collaborative spirit.
- A deep commitment to Cornwall Park and its social purpose.
