About the role

This newly created role leads the Business Services function encompassing Finance, HR Advisory, Fund Development, Property, Legal, IT and Operations.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide sound financial management for GirlGuiding New Zealand and the GirlGuiding New Zealand Foundation. This includes the provision and management of the financial control environment, along with the provision of financial and commercial advice to the Chief Executive, Management Team, Audit and Finance Committee, National Board and the GirlGuiding New Zealand Foundation. This role is required to deputise for the Chief Executive as required.

The role is also responsible for the overall success, oversight and management of the business operations of the organisation, minimizing organisational risk, maximizing the returns from owned and leased assets, ensuring external funding targets are met, being a good employer, as well as the provision of analytics to enhance decision making and the planning.

CA Qualified, you will be an experienced people leader with proven skills in financial and operational leadership and strategic business planning. Your contribution to high level decision making through sound commercial and financial advice and support will be drawn upon to ensure the future sustainability of the organisation; particularly as they embark on an exciting new phase of innovative growth and change.
