Central Kids is a not-for-profit organisation operating 47 early learning services across 27 towns in the North Island. Alongside our early learning services, we also operate wrap-around whānau support services.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

Lead our $12m capital investment programme (2025-2029) and digital transformation as part of our senior leadership team transformation. You’ll co-lead Strategic Pou 3: Te Riu – ensuring infrastructure provides strength, stability, and balance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver $12m capital programme: land acquisition, new builds, major refurbishments
  • Develop property strategy and oversee asset management for 47 kindergartens
  • Lead digital transformation, systems implementation, and technology adoption
  • Build data analytics capability for evidence-based decision-making
  • lead information systems
  • Manage compliance, sustainability, and stewardship (kaitiakitanga)
  • Partner with Kaiwhakahaere Finance, Risk & Compliance on integrated delivery

Ko wai koe| About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Property, Construction, Business, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years senior leadership with board reporting
  • Deep expertise in property/capital projects OR digital/data systems (working knowledge of other)
  • Major capital programme delivery ($10m+)
  • Property portfolio management for dispersed assets
  • Digital transformation and data strategy experience
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural infrastructure principles
  • Strategic innovative thinking

Highly desirable: Education facilities experience, ECE property standards, sustainability expertise, change management
