Ko Wai Mātou – Who are we
Te Tōpuni Ngārahu Limited Partnership is the operating entity of Ngā Iwi o Taranaki (NIoT) and is owned by the eight Iwi of Taranaki. We deliver services, activities and contracts that enhance the health and well-being of our communities and support our iwi to implement projects and activities that aid delivery of their social, cultural, environmental, and economic goals and aspirations. Following the Taranaki Maunga settlement, we are now in the process of establishing our group structure and capability.
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
As Pouwhakahaere / Chief Executive you will provide strategic management and leadership across the organisation. You will work closely with the Board and a small management team to champion our values. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the establishment of new structures, policies and entities for the Group
- Appointing, coaching and leading a small, high performing team
- Working closely with the Board on the strategic direction
- Engaging and influencing key stakeholders within the region and nationally
- Championing our collective values and priorities including te taiao.
Ko wai koe | About you
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Competence and confidence in te ao Māori including te reo me ona tikanga
- Proven experience in a senior management role, ideally having reported to a Board
- Exceptional skills in project management and delivery, along with team leadership and financial acumen
- A track record of successfully influencing a range of stakeholders including hapū and iwi, as well as central and local government, and
- Most importantly, you will have a genuine commitment to our kaupapa and our values.
