  • Seeking experienced Board members
  • Rare opportunity to contribute at the highest level of sport in NZ

The New Zealand Olympic Committee sits at the pinnacle of high-performance sport in New Zealand and represents both the Olympic and Commonwealth Games Movements.  Established in 1911, we have the unique mandate to select and send teams to the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, promoting the Olympic and Commonwealth brands and values.  Our athletes and teams are at the heart of our organisation, showcasing our unique culture and values on the world stage, and promoting excellence and innovation.  As a charitable organisation we rely heavily on driving commercial revenue, philanthropic support and other funding partnerships, including with High Performance Sport New Zealand.

We currently have a two Board vacancies, one for President and one for a Board Member.  It is also noted incumbents are seeking re-election for a further term in both roles.

This is an opportunity to contribute your strategic, commercial and governance skills to our inspiring, high profile and hard-working organisation.  We are seeking leadership expertise within the sport sector, along with commercial acumen and significant sports governance experience.

Most importantly, you will be a hard-working, committed team player.  The successful candidates will bring a passion for everything that the Olympic Movement represents and will embrace and champion our team culture of Manaaki.  Our aim is to inspire pride and excellence in all New Zealanders and enable our athletes to achieve their potential on the world stage.
