Ngāti Hine Health Trust has grown exponentially since it was founded over 30 years ago. We are a leader in oranga (wellbeing) services across Te Tai Tokerau.  Our services include health, tamariki ora, disability support, mental health and addictions, primary care, justice, corrections, housing, education, social services, reo irirangi Māori and Whānau Ora.

We have locations in Kawakawa (Head Office), Whangārei (Business Support) and satellite offices in Kaikohe, Pakaraka, Moerewa and Kaeo.  We are deeply connected to our iwi and hapū, our community and to our Ngāti Hine tikanga.

As our Chief Executive you will lead our organisation while working closely with our board, community and key stakeholders.  You will ensure an unwavering focus on our mātāpono while inspiring and empowering our kaimahi, as well as a commitment to innovation and quality.  You will ensure effective operational management, secure sustainable funding and growth, and further develop our relationships across multiple sectors locally, regionally and nationally.

With a track record as a dynamic, inspiring and capable executive, you will be committed to our vision, mission and values. You are known as a genuine, caring and diligent leader of people both in staff and stakeholder contexts. Your commercial acumen, strategic smarts and ability to deliver will set you up for success. An understanding of health, social services, housing or relevant sectors will be a distinct advantage, as would experience working in a kaupapa Māori organisation. Cultural competence in te ao Māori is essential. Preference may be given to candidates with whakapapa to Ngāti Hine, although it is not a mandatory requirement.

This position will require you to be based in Northland and work primarily from the Whangarei and Kawakawa offices, as well as regular regional and national travel.
