Mo matou | About Us

Arthritis New Zealand / Mateponapona Aotearoa is a national charity improving the lives of the 850,000 New Zealanders affected by arthritis and related conditions – including gout, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, and lupus.

We provide support, information, and advocacy for people living with arthritis and their whānau, and work with health professionals, policymakers, and communities to improve access to care and drive equitable outcomes. We also fund a significant research programme, spanning clinical, social and economic research that builds the evidence base for our programmes, services, and advocacy work.

With 20+ staff plus volunteers across Wellington and Auckland, the organisation has a committed board, sound finances, a refreshed brand, and clear strategic priorities.
