Housing Foundation is a well-established national NGO, delivering affordable housing to those trapped in unaffordable and/or poor-quality rental housing.  We are recognised as the leader in assisting working renting households, transition into affordable home ownership.  

About the Role

We are looking for a Manager to lead our dedicated Housing Support team who work directly with families invited to enter the Foundation’s programmes.  The work of our team is rewarding as they partner alongside our families as they prepare, advise and support them on a journey towards homeownership, eventually achieving the goal of moving into their new home.  As your team often work remotely, you will draw on your leadership experience to check in with them, encourage feedback whilst creating a trusted and supportive environment where they can develop and thrive.

Reporting to our Chief Executive Officer who will support and guide you, you will be responsible for the overall success of our delivery, ensuring the end-to-end experience from our homeowners is outstanding, whilst leading the team to support them develop and deliver our quality programmes along with managing new initiatives.

You will also oversee capability and improvement within our systems and processes, whilst taking into consideration what needs your team might require to enhance their efficiency and will oversee the Household programme and ensure homes are allocated and occupied as completed.

Strong partnership and stakeholder relationships are essential.  As Manager of the Household Home Ownership Programmes you will also work closely with our key stakeholders on service level agreements so a level of competence in working with commercial agreements would be advantageous.  Developing meaningful partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders will be second nature to you, whilst working to achieve optimal outcomes.

About You

You will have a track record of developing strong business relationships whilst also having held a team leadership position where developing, supporting and mentoring your team was a priority for you.

Highly organised, you will be known for your ability to get on with a wide range of people whilst staying focused on the Foundation’s purpose and the people we serve. A knowledge of delivering community services would be advantageous with a strong commitment to Te Ao Māori and Pasifika.
