A forward-thinking and sustainable organisation, Tupu Angitu is seeking a highly motivated and strategic individual to join the team as the General Manager Investment.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and Board, you will play a crucial role in overseeing Tupu Angitu’s investment portfolio (excluding core forest assets) and shaping the future investment strategy and pipeline. 

As General Manager Investment you will be responsible for overseeing investments throughout their cycle, right from transaction origination to monitoring and potentially divestment as well as building strong tools and systems to monitor and evaluate performance.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the organisation is well-resourced and positioned to achieve its strategic objectives, in alignment with the Investment Policy Statement and three year strategy.

Proven experience in investment management with a focus on sustainable and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies will be ideal.  To further enhance your success you will have:

  • A strong understanding of investment policies, frameworks and compliance.
  • A demonstrated track record overseeing a broad investment portfolio, ideally including direct investments.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and leadership skills to be part of a growing team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to engage stakeholders at various levels.
  • A strong understanding of māori values and kaupapa based decision making.
  • Knowledge of te reo me ona tikanga will be an advantage.
